We focus on surviving. When we start surviving, we start looking for what is next. That is when we start looking inwards, precisely, more attention to what is going on with us. Now why is that?
Have you experienced your body fully? Comfortably? Without looking at it and think if I lost some weight or gained some, if I was longer or shorter? I doubt people of the same weight look the same. We have our own signature appearance even if we dress like any other person we come across. Isn’t it honorable enough to accept it?
So why do we need to find our place in the universe? To make sense of our struggle in life so we keep some sanity during uncertainty. It is as simple as that.
If you experience time crunch all the time. Obsessing over what will happen next or in future to a point where you can’t sleep, say focus on tasks in the moment or simply get sweaty and restless I think you may be experiencing something called anxiety. Well, it is more common than you think and these are not the only signs that the experience of anxiety show itself.
Why do we need to be our better version? Imagine a world full of islands. We have seen in studies by Darwin saying about same species of birds living in different islands forming unique features of their own to adapt to their environment. Yes uniqueness is about adapting to your specific circumstances. Now you have to also see that these uniqueness wasn’t a product of just isolation but an influence of everything around them.
Imagine the world being an intentional place. We can see a lot of difference in the way it functions.
Feeling lonely? All alone in this world? No one to connect with?
What if I say sum of discomfort doesn’t add up to the glory of change? Sometimes we go through a series of unfortunate experience. Does it mean we are not heading the right direction? Of course the question then arise what is right and what is wrong? How do we know the universe has a plan or there just a series of events in which some survive and some lost in the process?
We are all life long students. In order to develop we need to learn how. Staying open makes the process more fruitful and worthwhile.
